SHORT TITLE: Providing an exception to allow a resident of a dwelling house to discharge a firearm in a lawful manner within five hundred feet.

PROPOSED LAW: The purpose of this amendment is to permit a resident of a dwelling house to discharge a firearm in a lawful manner within 500 feet of the dwelling house in which the person lives so long as no other dwelling house is within 500 feet of the person shooting. It also increases from 400 to 500 feet the distance within which a firearm may not be discharged.
